Mayor Bloomberg in his defense of the indefensible carriage horse trade has been quoted as saying "These are things that the tourists like and New Yorkers like, and they define a city." I wonder if he is referring to the empty water troughs in Central Park, which have deprived the horses of water for at least the last month. Let's just hope he does not run for President.
